Guest guest
Hi Kathy, My husband and daughter saw Chicago in Dallas. It was his 40th time to see them. He is a drummer and Chicago has always been his inspiration. I think that the first time that his daughter attended a concert she was 2 and it was to see Chicago. We have met them on numerous occasions and they are all very nice to their fans. The guy that was the sound man for Kev's band traveled with Chicago for years and that is how we were able to go back stage so many times. Last time we spoke with Bill, he had a CD of the Sons of Champlin that he was releasing. (I actually have that album). He said that even though he had been with the band over twenty years some people still called him the new one. Even if you aren't the biggest fan, if you attend one of their concerts, you walk away knowing that you had the chance of lifetime to hear such accomplished musicians. They always do something to keep their show fresh..I loved it when they had a student from the arts academy play in the brass section with them. One summer they had the stage lit up with a plastic snowman...in Dallas in the middle of a heat wave and they played some of the cuts from their Christmas album. Another year, they each took the stage alone with just their instrument...I really enjoyed that one. I am glad that you had such a wonderful evening! We all deserve a little fun to mixed in with all that we deal with daily.
