Boy did they give us a lot of grief when we went for our marriage license, like it wasn't a common name or something. My father belonged to the Jim club. Then our daughter married a Meadows, divorced him and married his half brother. totally confused them at the courthouse first because of the same name thing there, then when she told them her maiden name was and her mother's maiden name was . If anyone remembers the " Lavern & Shirley Show " , you'll remember that " Shirley's " last name was Feeney. I used to get stopped all of the time, with folks asking me " well, what did you do with Lavern? " It got to the point I hated to mention my last name!
