Guest guest
a, I had completely forgotten about the bone loss danger (from the phosphoric acid) with diet soda pop. That's just one more reason! We usually use sucanat or turbinado sugar, too. I really like your idea about concentrated cherry juice in club soda for a treat now and then! I just ordered some concentrated cherry juice from our food co-op, after reading that it has anti-inflammatory properties. Every little bit helps, right? a <paula54@...> wrote: , I came to the same conclusion after reading numerous articles on artificial sweeteners. I¹ve also read many articles on how bad soda in general is. I used to drink quite a bit of Pepsi but then limited it to my once or twice a month trips to my favorite pizza parlor. Having osteopenia, I can¹t afford to loose any more bone and soda has been linked to bone loss. I don¹t eat a lot of sugar either and when I do it is sucanat, a minimally processed sugar cane. Since decreasing the sugar in my diet, I find I can¹t eat sweet things anymore. They just don¹t taste good. It is true that our taste buds change. Occasionally I get a craving for something carbonated so I put concentrated cherry juice in some club soda. Thanks for the Ginger Ale idea. I was just thinking about how I could make ginger ale out of real ginger and some sparkling water. a __________________________________________________
Guest guest
I agree 100%. Any food that has anti-inflammatory properties is welcome in my diet. I really can't enjoy drinking a soda anymore because I look at it as poison. I was very happy to have found an alternative that tastes good and has nutritional value. a > a, I had completely forgotten about the bone loss danger (from the > phosphoric acid) with diet soda pop.
