Guest guest
I am meeting with our MDs tomorrow to discuss the possibility of RD standing orders. During my reading, I ran across something I have a question about... The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services Hospital Condition of Participation for Food and Dietetic Services regulations implemented in 1986 states: " A current therapeutic diet manual approved by the dietitian and medical staff must be readily available to all medical, nursing, and foodservice personnel. " My question is this...if we use the online manual from ADA, how does it meet this standard? It is certainly not readily available to anyone but the people who are subscribed. At our hospital it is me and the second RD.
