Guest guest
As a trial have her try lactose-free milk...that way she can at least rule out lactose as the culprit. Hwo much did the child have when she vomited it? It may be dose related. > I have a question from a friend that I thought had been dealt with > before but I couldn't find it in the archives. > > Her daughter is 13 months old and was on soy formula. Guest guest
NO rice milk - too low in protein Marg Ortiz wrote: > > As a trial have her try lactose-free milk...that way she can at least rule > out lactose as the culprit. Guest guest
likely it is the amount of milk. Some allergic kids ( ok sensitive ) kids can tolerate small amounts of milk, but when the volume is uptitrated, then the problems start. My oldest could be the child below. On the advice of a pediatric RD I gave him a milk challenge - more vomitting. My baby sitter didn't believe that milk was the issue, my son drank a bottle there and vomitted so much that he had a seizure and could no longer walk! The sz was secondary to electrolyte loss. Try soy! Guest guest
Have her try mixing 3/4 soy, 1/4 whole milk and transition gradually to all whole milk. Hope this is helpful.
