A few years ago I took a " rest " from dietetics and got a real estate

license. I worked in a very upscale office where the #1 Realtor in AZ worked.

She

once told us that she always looked at a woman's feet to see if she had a

pedicure (sandals are worn here all year round). If not, she knew the woman

probably could not afford the house she was showing (always multimillion dollar

ones). Of course, having a pedicure didn't insure that she could afford it, but

it at least gave the Realtor some confidence that this was a person who cared

about her appearance and could afford to get a pedicure.

The dress for success thing is one of the reasons I work at home-right now

I'm wearing sweatpants and a t shirt and I'm barefoot (with a pedicure, I might

add). No makeup. Haven't showered yet (too much info?). Some of us really

don't like to get " dressed up " .
