Guest guest
Article in today's WSJ, Want to be CEO? Have to Dress the Part, _http://online.wsj.com/article/SB119992386358079373.html_ (http://online.wsj.com/article/SB119992386358079373.html) speaks to the issues. If you still need the info, I think you'll find the article useful. A few years ago I took a " rest " from dietetics and got a real estate license. I worked in a very upscale office where the #1 Realtor in AZ worked. She once told us that she always looked at a woman's feet to see if she had a pedicure (sandals are worn here all year round). If not, she knew the woman probably could not afford the house she was showing (always multimillion dollar ones). Of course, having a pedicure didn't insure that she could afford it, but it at least gave the Realtor some confidence that this was a person who cared about her appearance and could afford to get a pedicure. The dress for success thing is one of the reasons I work at home-right now I'm wearing sweatpants and a t shirt and I'm barefoot (with a pedicure, I might add). No makeup. Haven't showered yet (too much info?). Some of us really don't like to get " dressed up " . Regards, Sharon Salomon, MS, RD Phoenix, AZ **************Start the year off right.
