Guest guest
a said " The past few weeks, it seems like I'm incapable of regulating my body temperature. " I'm usually always cold. I don't sweat unless I'm walking uphill in 90* heat in high humidity, but lately I've been having night sweats. I wake up soaked and freezing and I ache so bad all over. It doesn't seem to be related to being over warm. I don't know if it's fibromyalgia related, but I'm guessing a med side effect. I feel for you a, I can't imagine going through that day and night. If it's hormone related, I've read that eating yams can help with regulating estrogen. --------------------------------- How low will we go? Check out Yahoo! Messenger’s low PC-to-Phone call rates. Guest guest
I had a horrible time with this sort of thing when I stopped taking Ultram. Since then that is the first thing I get when I haven't taken my pain meds. I've never had such bad chills/ sweats, goose bumped hot flash as with Ultram. One of the reasons I think Ultram is one of the worst drugs ever. But thats another story. I also had this to a much lesser extent when I was taking oxycodone. I also heard of others who took it and had the same problem. Is this what you are taking? Another opiate type pain medicine? Not Ultram I hope. Anyway I hope this helped a bit. Guest guest
Jan: As the disease progresses, the body isn't able to regulate temperature. That's why, toward the end, when they run a high temp, aspirin and Tylenol don't bring it down. As far as low temp goes, I would think it would also work that way as well. However, that seems pretty low. I tend to run a low temp, 96. or so and am cold all the time when the weather gets below 60 degrees. I have a low BP, too, and wonder if there's any connection. Haven't written you for awhile. Hope everything else is going okay. The AfterGroup from caring spouses just got back from a trip to Branson last week. It was the first time I had gone. June Subject: Body Temperature To: LBDcaregivers Date: Monday, October 13, 2008, 10:31 AM Jim's temperature dropped to 92.5 yesterday. His normal temp. is typically around 96.5. The nurses were not concerned in the drop and said when it goes up beyond the normal mark is a concern, but going down is not a concern. Has anyone else experienced a drop in temp. with their LO? Is it to do with blood circulation? Jim is on Coumadin, so his blood should be circulating fairly well, since it is being thinned I would think.
