I am trying to set up an entity which may have multiple " Part B " PT's and

OT's in it. I am checking to see what the parameters are with regard to

assignment of benefits with individual therapists in this setting or does

each therapist act as an individual and share cost. Any one with experience

with this issue and how to set it up legally?

As you are aware, under part B patients can only be seen by one provider. If

I understand correctly you want multiple Part B providers I am assuming to

share rent and decrease costs. You can do this by renting them space

including there prorata for overhead. Remember though Medicare can track cap

utilization by part B provider so you will not be able to send your patient

from X-part B provider to Y-part B provider.

Another idea may be to have a single Part B provider and then hire lower

salaried PTA's etc. This will help increase profit margins and

profitiability. Let me know what you think.

Please be kind enough to identify yourself to the group. Also,

your question may receive a more appropriate (legal?) response

if you indicate the state in which you will be doing business.
