Guest guest
OK, I won't complain about being a lefty! Yes, I understand about the " toilet needs! " Last year I was left-footed thanks to breaking my right ankle on Easter Sunday. Am I coordinated or what? What. Now how do I explain the problem with using my right hand to the therapist tomorrow--who happens to be drop-dead gorgeous? Oh well, courage Judi, just tell him you need help wiping your, uh, well, uh, how about installing a bidet? thanks for the encouraging words! Guest guest
Noreen, I am having arthroplasty surgery on my right hand on 8/16. Can you give me the name of the website because I am going to need all the help I can get since I am right handed. My first ten days will be in a soft cast with a sling and i am not allowed to do anything -then I will be casted for 4-5 weeks. I did my left wrist 1-1/2 years ago and it wasn't too bad but, of course, I had my trusty right hand. This upcoming one is making me really nervous!!!!!! I want to know about that " extension " . LOL Noreen Saukko <nsaukko@...> wrote: This is one problem I have thought of before, like if I have carpal tunnel surgery on my right hand, how would I??? But I found a website with aids for everything including bathroom duty. When the time comes that I need an " extension " I know they have them. Guest guest
Joanne, I am so happy for you!!!! What wonderful news that you like your new doc and in my book, a doc that tries 7 times to call you is a rare find. I will be waiting to hear how the Prosorba Column works. It is a very interesting concept and I hope that it does all you are praying for. I have really liked all of the female docs that I have seen in the past. I find that they are better listeners. You probably will be excited to see the snow the first few times but then that excitement will probably wear off pretty quickly! When I moved to Dallas, I moved north! I think that we have snow the right amount of time...several times for a day or two. I would just once in my life, like to see a thick blanket of fresh, pristine snow. The last time we were up in Illinois it snowed the day before I got there and melted off and there was the biggest snow storm of the season the day after I left. Just my luck. When I read your post about the fusion of feet, I thought that I really shouldn't complain about my swollen feet with messed up joints. It sounds so painful. My doc wants me to have carpal tunnel surgery but I have heard of so many coming out worse than they started, so I don't know if that is the right course of treatment. I am still delaying the knee replacement. I may not be able to put off the neck surgery because the numbness is getting worse in my arms and hands. I wonder if not having surgery until I can't stand it any more is the right thing? Hang in there, you are going in the right direction now beginning with your wonderful, new doc. Let me know how it goes. Iris --- " easyspirit13@...
