Dear Jan,

Prayer's already been sent. He'll not forget... I felt the very same way as you

when I went for surgery many years ago. My family was living in another State,

and my then boy-friend had to go to work, leaving me feeling alone and nervous.

My focus on the Lord helped to ease me, and the surgery was successful. Didn't

have ice cream later, but received a hugh bowl of red jello...my favorite!!

You'll be surrounded by friends from the heart tomorrow ...rest easy.

Hi All,

I'm a little nervous and thought I'd come here for some support. I'm

having my knee scoped and a syneovectomy(?) tomorrow morning. I

know its going to feel a lot better once it heals, but just nervous

about surgery. Please say a prayer for me.

Thanks,

Jan

Yes you can have one last big meal the night before surgery enjoy it... Bipley <mybipley@...> wrote: Tijuana is a disgusting town. I agree with . The hotel Lucerna restaurants are very good. I, too,

have dined in the dining room off the lobby that overlooks the pool. White

linen table cloths is first class. Food and service was very good. There

is also a restaurant for breakfast and lunch. I did not try the Italian one

while there. The breakfast meal (that my companion enjoyed) looked

delicious. She stayed at the hotel while I was in the hospital and said all

her meals there were first class. I didn't have time to to anything in

Mexicali. After my tests were done and we did dinner and I met with Dr.

Campos in the evening--my eastern time zone butt was ready for nighty-night.

Up the next a.m. to the hospital for surgery and the rest is history.

I agree with and . The better restaurant is where my surgery partner and I went for dinner. (We met at the airport, spent much time together) Got a steak that was so tender I honestly did not need a knife to cut it. A fork was more than enough. The service is excellent and the BEST of the BEST in bellmen was Jesus, (aka Jessie). He's a gem, my favorite. The food is great, the service is beyond expectations, the rooms are clean, well stocked with whatever you need, everything is perfect. I needed a few items from the grocery store across the street. When I asked where a grocery store is Jessie offered to go and get it for me. When I declined he offered to go with me so I wouldn't be alone. I declined that too as it was directly across the street from the hotel. When my cell phone turned to Spanish and I had no idea how to pick up my

messages, Jessie picked them up for me. (that was an oddity, it doesn't usually happen, it depends on your room. Get a room in the tower and your cell doesn't turn Spanish) It will be a wonderful experience from the trip from San Diego (Ernesto is a gem!) to the hotel, to the hospital, and back to San Diego again. You will be well taken care of. I had only been to Mexico once before my surgery and I was a little nervous about how to do everything. You don't do anything, it is done for you. Nina is a pro at how to do things and how to get things done. I have more respect for Nina now that everything is done and over with than I did before I knew what she was doing in the back ground. There is no need to worry about a thing, my only regret is that I never met Nina in real time so I could give her a hug and a big thanks.

Wow, I never had a chance to have dinner at any of the

resturant's....only broth. I had surgery the same day

that I got in. When I go back it is for a fill, I

can't eat either. Maybe better not to know what I

missed.

Just a bit of info about the Chinese in Mexicali... Did you know that the largest group of Chinese people OFF of the mainland of China is in Mexicali???? They are very well known for their Chinese restaurants. I haven't gone to any because I haven't ever been to Mexicali when I am allowed to eat anything! So, this is your trivia moment for the day!
