Guest guest
Faith, just don't do what you feel uncomfortable doing. As a physio, she should respect your pain and discomfort, and guide you into what would be beneficial, rather than just forcing you to do something this early post-op If she forces you, then just say politely " no thanks " , and just take things at your own pace - after all, she is not the one feeling all the post-op pain and discomfort Best wishes Nina Bristol, UK -- > I've had a home nurse come over twice. I have been doing PT for over 5 years and yes, sometimes I do get sore later but nothing that a Tramadol will not fix. Rick
Guest guest
Hi Faith, About ten days after I was de-tethered, my surgeon and his entourage came into my room for what we thought was the normal daily visit. He wanted to check my flexibilty and pushed my right knee to my chest. We weren't even halfway to my chest in physical therapy. It hurt so bad and I screamed so loud that my father had to be restrained. I was 13 at the time. A few months later, I seemed to be well on the road to recovery. Then one day, I woke up with severe pain at the top of my right hamstring. It affected my walking so bad that I eventually had to have my left ankle operated on(fusion and tendon transplant). We suspect that what my surgeon did to me in the hospital was the cause of the hamstring pain. We also decided to switch doctors at that point. I wouldn't let anyone do anything to you that you are not comfortable with. Faith wrote: I've had a home nurse come over twice. She checked my would, took my vitals and stuff, but thatwas about it.
