Hi Amy,

Working with MRT/LEAP patients for 6 years, we run into taste/smell issues

often. Generally, we see people that are especially " amine " sensitive may be

smelling things that most everybody else doesn't notice. The MRT looks at

Tyramine and Phenylethylamine, but there are many other amines in our diet that

could also be a player. Often a person sensitive to one is also sensitive to

others.

I'm attaching an article about amines and smell - maybe it will make a lot

of sense to you. (I had one client thank me profusely after she read this -

said that for once she had " proof " for her family that she wasn't nuts. . . she

had the family nickname of " psychedelic nose. " ;-)

PS. For others, the articles in the Files section I believe. PS. If you

really like the article, you may want to purchase Joan Breakey's book, " Are you

Food Sensitive. " _http://members.ozemail.com.au/~breakey/_

If others are interested in CLT training, feel free to email.

I have been fascinated by the concept of people who are " super smellers " and

" super tasters " but don't know much about it. I know I have a very sensitive

sense of smell and taste and wanted to share this observation I just had

from my office at work. Someone is making a pot of coffee and I can smell

something in common with tuna fish. There must be some chemical that brewed

coffee

and tuna fish have in common... is anyone a food chemist or know this to be

true?

Just an interesting thought for the day.

A happy thought for the day... It's ALMOST FRIDAY!
