Guest guest
Tawny, Ouch! I hope it heals quickly! Something must have spooked your dog. I have a horror story that may make you feel much better about stepping in the dog crap. My daughter in law¹s dog was going nuts, barking at the window. My daughter in law opened the window to see what was going on and she spooked a SKUNK! The skunk sprayed and it got all over her and in her house. It permeated everything. The house stunk so bad. They washed things down, but it didn¹t help much. She went to work the next day and her co-workers were astonished to smell her. Here the smell even permeated all of her clothes. She didn¹t notice it because she got so used to the smell. They drug her off to the store and made her buy new clothes. Her babysitter said the 2 children smelled awful. Your furry friends love you and appreciate all you do for them. Maybe your dog is trying to tell you something about the back yard!!! a > I didn't get to take my Humira Sunday, because I had a mishap with > the top of a cat food can, I have a big gash on my thumb. Guest guest
a, Oh, the old mutt knows how much I love him. I have looked all in the back yard, don't see anything, but you never know dog's sense things people don't. A little history on my lab, Zeus. I rescued him from a vet, almost 2 years ago now. His belly was cut wide open, from jumping a fence. The owner couldn't deal with him anymore, so just took him to the vet, and left him. I had recently lost my beloved lab of Cancer, so when I went in, and looked in to those beautiful loving eyes, I know he needed me. So, he had surgery, and a few days later I took him home. At the time we lived on 80 acres, with no fence, but he still stayed in the house. But I was told that he would not stay in a fence at all, OK that was no problem. Well now we have moved to the city, which he is in the house all the time, except when I'm outside with him, or his duty time. But, the back area has a fence, which the gate is open all the time, he use to go in it, but didn't like it. Now he is just having big problems with it. So, the big butt is just setting his ways. I love dogs, all animals but dogs have my heart. They are very intelligent, and I don't understand how people can just be so cruel sometimes to them. But, I do know what your saying, and I do listen. I bet your daughter-in-law listens now,lol I know that wasn't funny at the time. I hope your day is going well, and you have some great days ahead to enjoy the summer, Tawny > Tawny, > Ouch! I have what seems tons of days like that sometimes, and when it happens, I remember why I like junk food, home movies and a big fat juicy book to curl up to! Hope your hands and feet are better too. Can sure relate there. : - ) ........ Jefersea [ ] a day in my shoes, never boring,.... I didn't get to take my Humira Sunday, because I had a mishap with the top of a cat food can, I have a big gash on my thumb. So, I'm trying to get that better so I can get my Humira shot. It's been 2 weeks, and 4 days now without it, and yeah I can tell. I'm having bad problems with my hands and feet. I took my lab out tonight for his nightly duties. For some reason the last month, he doesn't won't to go to the back yard, he freaks out. I was in the back trying to get him in the back, and I fell in a darn hole. Guest guest
I've been on the couch all day trying to rest my foot. It's a football, and I have sausages for fingers. I hope for some better days headed my way, I need a few. Thanks Tawny > Tawny, > > Sure hope everything's gone better since! Guest guest
You¹re such a sweetie Tawny. Not a lot of people would have taken Zeus. It also makes me nuts when I see people mistreat animals. Dogs give unconditional love and deserve the same back. I hope Zeus gets used to the back yard. Is he very old? Maybe in time he will learn that it¹s not such a bad place. Thanks for the well wishes. I hope you have a great summer too. This is my favorite time of year and I¹m enjoying being WARM. a > a, Oh, the old mutt knows how much I love him. Guest guest
Tawny, I'm so sorry you are having a rough time. Wish I could do something to ease your pain and discomfort. Praying for you. Guest guest
Tawny, I am sending healing prayers your way. It seems you can't catch a break and you truly deserve one. You are a mainstay to this group. Rest and recuperate! Guest guest
a, He is probably 5-6 years old. He is such a wonderful loving dog, and that is his only problem, so we will work on it. He's had a hard life, and is totally a momma's dog. Yes, this is my time of year too, just getting a late start to enjoy it, take care Tawny > >> > Tawny, > >> > Ouch! I hope it heals quickly!
