Guest guest
Peg-- I don't always have someone with me. There have been several days I have been alone. I'm sure Steve probably wrote about the seizures I had on the 11th? It was due to the high volume of anti-rej med they give on the 5th day. I was alone then--very scary. Also had to have a spinal tap that day, which Steve had to authorize from about 3.5 hrs away. It seems my worst days are when I'm alone. Just found out yesterday that there is posterior reversible something or other in my brain due to lack of oxygen during the seizures. Has to do with my vision. They say it will get better. Also some other finding " consistent with chronic longstanding PSC " - encephelapothy (sp?). Am finally getting to see my dr today (he's been out of town for a wk and will ask him more). No, I don't have Steve's computer. This is in a resource room at the Lied Transplant Center. I have had a lot of back pain since the wee hrs this a.m. and was looking forward to lying down on the htg pad after bkfst, but housecleaning came and booted us out. Our youngest, Chad, 18, is here w/me today. This is one wk that was organized for me to have someone w/me since I was in co-operative care and now they booted us to out-patient. I am not well enuf to be alone--don't have my meds straight in my head yet and can't get from one place to another without feeling confused. Now that I'm in " outpt " I have to go to have my blood drawn to another bldg and floor (still hooked to the tx ctr) b/4 8 am everyday before I take my anti-rej med. Also have to go to cafeteria for all meals. So much for lounging and resting in jammies. I'm still praying for Jacquelyn, though I don't know the exact prayer I should be saying since I don't know precisely what is going on. I just pray that He carry her in His arms, guide the drs in the right direction and do as He feels best, His will. You guys are in my prayers.
