Guest guest
Hi Lynn...with my bariatric surgery, I have to focus on protein, and I'm not a huge meat eater. I've found all varieties of fish and seafood (except oysters - don't like those) work very well. I also eat eggs, cheese, peanut butter. I occasionally supplement with a protein shake, but would rather just eat " real " food. I have my 3 month check up next week...I already know I'm anemic from my rheumy, and my sed rate is stubbornly staying at 92. I know you have a real challenging situation with your surgeries and eating. I wish you only the best. Love & hugs... Tess
Guest guest
Hi Tess, Our surgeries are similar. In my surgery they cut out most of the stomach to make it match up to everything else. So that a lot of the problems you have with eating are similar to mine. I am just very frustrated right now. It seems the eating problems are worse. The other night I ate a baked potato, no butter or sour cream on it, just plain. I felt terrible after I ate it and had to take medicine for that. I do love fish so I guess I should start concentration on that. I like hard boiled eggs. Protein drinks are a little too heavy for my stomach. Actually the stomach is so small they call it a pouch. I think it is great you are doing so well after your surgery. It is not an easy operation. I think I mentioned that my daughter in law and her mother both had it done. They each lost over 100 pounds. So I wish you much luck with your loss. Thank you for your note. Lynn Grammi_Love@... wrote: > Hi Lynn...with my bariatric surgery, I have to focus on protein, and I'm > not a huge meat eater.
