Naomi, your recipe sounds delicious... hope it's not too sinful ;)

I posted the breakfast recipes to http://www.lowthian.com/lcrecipes.html . One

day when I get some time, I'll post the recipes one to a page so that printing

for you will be easier.

I am having a terrible time with yahoo. When I went to above site it asks

for my password and user name and it says it is invalid so I went to sign

up for another password. It asks for my birthday and zip code and then it

said my answer was incorrect. I obviously am a member because I receive

messages and can send them. What am I missing? Any clues?

Thanks, Elaine

The Yahoo group AFIBsupport, as well as all other Yahoo groups, is made up

of several components, one being a mailing list. This is what you are

receiving now. It is possible to be on the sending and receiving end of the

mailing list without ever going to visit the actual group page on the web.

It is possible for a new person to join the mailing list only by sending an

email message to the " Subscribe " address at the bottom of the message.

In order to get into the web page, one must " join " Yahoo and get a username

and password. Then you can log into the web page, and view the group, and

any number of other groups you would like to join.

There are a few problems here:

1. List members who have been receiving email from the beginning but have

never signed up for Yahoo, are hit with a request to enter username and

password (for the first time)

2. The Yahoo signup process is less than perfect!

3. Several people have more than one email addresses. They participate in

the list with one address, sign up for Yahoo with another address, and don't

understand what is going on. It is possible (and recommended) to link all

these addresses in, but it is a little tricky.

Once you get through the process, it works well.

I believe there is a request in the logon procedure for birthday and zip

code. These are normally used by Yahoo to confirm ID in case you forget your

password. As far as you getting the message that your answer is incorrect.

Were you in the new signup section, or the " trouble signing in " page? If you

were on the trouble signing in page and have never joined before, you are in

effect trying to recover a password from another user, but the birth date,

zip code doesn't match.

I'll be glad to work with anyone personally by email (or phone) to get them

straightened out! Just let me know. Also, any follow-up questions to the

list would be welcome.

To all of you that have never signed up for Yahoo, its nice because you can

easily switch your email to off, digest or individual. You can view all of

the links, participate in polls, download files. You can search for and

join new groups related to your hobbies and interests; for example a search

for the word " kites " brings up 45 groups and the word " diet " produces 1197

groups!

Have fun!

ALong the same lines of food costs, I am looking for recipes that

utilize low budget items (eggs, beans, powdered milk, cheese)- items

that would be found at food pantries and through subsidized food

programs. the only recipes we have are macoaroni and cheese!!

again, I will make a handout for everyone to use.
