Guest guest
Hi Judi...Your words about your husband really touched me in a way few people understand. My husband and I have been together since we were 15 and married his junior year of college, 35 years ago. He is my best friend. I don't know if your husbands life is in jeopardy with Parkinson's but my husband has metastatic colon cancer and chemo induced cirrhosis. Both are life threatening. He has taught me so much in the past 4 years about bravery that I cannot believe it. It is not something we talk about [his attitude] because that is just the way he is. Whether it is during his surgeries, procedures, weekly IV's of chemo or violent vomiting, diarrhea and dehydration..he has never complained. I, on the other hand, am on anti depressants and live in fear of losing him. He is so good to me when I am in pain and always fussing over my problems instead. What a glorious human being he is! I am glad to hear that you too, can appreciate your man. Judy

Guest guest
Judy, I'm so sorry about your husband, but he sounds like a very special person. We have learned a lot about each other in the last couple of years, gained in our faith, and learned not to " sweat the small stuff. " You don't take a single small thing for granted, like a few minutes to stand and watch a sunset, or listen to some favorite music, or just sit quietly and hold hands. Each moment is precious. I'm grateful for every day God gives me with him. No, Parkinson's isn't life threatening, but will eventually affect the quality of life. But I'm not thinking about that now. Take care, Judi
