Walking to happiness, I know what you mean it does take a long time

to unlearn behaviors. But the main thing is we know what is wrong we

see and acknowledge. I think you are right, somebody could take this

as a threat, who know today? But it is very scary that there are

mothers (or anybody)out there saying this today to sweet little

children. I am so happy to have his board to talk about all these

things with. I am happy to be here in my cozy home with my husband

and children who I love and I don't ever want to use words like that

to them. We here on this board know how to love. I am proud of you

for unlearning this and all other behaviors. I am proud of me to. We

could all be so much worse off! But look at us and how good we are!

Merry Christmas. Lots of Lizzy!

Lizzy. No matter what else happens and we grapple with fleas, we

survived and are alive. That is something I need to remind myself

of more often!

> As for the phrase " I could kill you " , this is chilling, but my

nada said that everytime she got mad. She always said " I could kill

him;her " EVERYTIME she was mad at someone. Only now reading this

post do I realize how wrong those words are. Legally, that would be

a threat, wouldn't it? It would be illegal to talk about killing

someone, wouldn't it? I actually remember one time I used that

phrase and people looked at me, like what is wrong with her? It

takes a long time to unlearn the behavior I learned from my primary

(not a caretaker).

speaking that phrase.
