Guest guest
DEAR NANCY, THANKS SO MUCH FOR WRITING BACK. I REALLY HAVE GIVEN UP, THERE USED TO BE SUCH A HEALTHY ROMANCE DEPARTMENT IF YOU KNOW WHAT I MEAN AND NOW IT IS JUST OVER FOR ME. I MEAN DEAD AND DEAD AND DEADER, MY POOR HUSBAND. ALL THESE DRUGS ARE DEFINITELY A FACTOR, BUT BEFORE THEM, RIGHT AFTER THE HYSTERECTOMY IS WHEN IT GRADUALLY STARTED. I DO NOT THINK I CAN EVER BE " RESURRECTED " AND I DO NOT KNOW WHO TO TALK TO. MY OB/GYN IS ALMOST 4 HOURS AWAY AND HE SEEMED REALLY UNCONCERNED WITH THIS PROBLEM. HE ONLY TAKED WOMEN WITH CANCER, AND UNKNOWN TUMORS, HE IS THE PREMIER CANCER GUY IN THE STATE. HE IS THE BEST AND DID A SUPER JOB. I NOW HAVE NO ONE IN TOWN I TRUST AFTER ALL THE CRAP I WENT THROUGH AT TOE TAG CENTRAL HERE WHERE I LIVE. I HAVE NEVER HEARD OF TESTOSTERONE DROPS ON THE SKIN ? DID YOU HAVE ANY SIDE-EFFECTS. DID IT WORK RIGHT AWAY OR HOW LONG DID IT TAKE, DO YOU STILL USE THEM? I ALSO STILL DO NOT KNOW WHY I HAVE TO TAKE THE FOLIC ACID BUT IT IS A NATURAL VITAMIN SO I DON'T EVEN WORRY ABOUT THAT. THANK YOU AGAIN FOR ANSWERING MY POST. IT WAS SWEET OF YOU. Guest guest
Cindi, I am sorry that your OB/GYN is uncaring. I have been fortunate and adore my dr. He had done extensive bloodwork to check all my hormone levels and found my estrogen levels were fine but testosterone was gone. He prescribed the drops but insurance didn't pay. They were $25 for the bottle but lasted a year and i had to order them from a pharmacy in TN. They specialilze in natural compounds. They helped my libido a little bit and helped with the dryness a lot. It took about 2 mo. and I have had no side effects. I am going to GYN on Mon. and he will check hormone levels to see if I need to stay on them. I also take mtx injection and folic acid. Gyn told me that libido is definitely affected by all the meds and the fatigue that comes from ra. He said its a wonder I ever feel romantic-he is very understanding. I have been on the drops for a year now. I guess this is unfortunately just one more thing good old RA affects in our lives. I wish I could mail my OB/GYN to your doorstep!!!! lol CINDI <heinscsf@...> wrote: DEAR NANCY, THANKS SO MUCH FOR WRITING BACK.
