What is a Registered Dietitian and Medicial Nutrition Therapy?

Hi Everyone, I get this question all the time. Since most people only want a

sound bite answer or something that takes about a minute to explain....I usually

tell them that we are more like doctors than any other healthcare professional

and we review their health/medical/nutritional history, look at current blood

work, medications, symptoms that may be affecting their nutritional status and

prescribe a meal/nutrition/supplement plan that is best for them, factoring in

all their needs, wants and budget. Just wanted some other great ideas from this

great group.
