I wonder if anyone on the list participates in the National Databank

for Rheumatic Diseases, as I do. I don't remember anyone ever

mentioning it. This is their mission:

" The National Databank for Rheumatic Diseases (NDB) performs unique

clinical research in rheumatoid arthritis, osteoarthritis, fibromyalgia

and other rheumatic diseases, designed to improve the treatment and

outcomes of these conditions. "

Some of the articles that and a send mention Dr. Frederick

Wolf, who is in charge.

They also say the following:

" We need your help if you have any form of arthritis (such as

rheumatoid arthritis, osteoarthritis, psoriatic arthritis, ankylosing

spondylitis, gout, and all other forms) or muscle pain and back

problems (such as back pain, shoulder pain, fibromyalgia, and others)

or immunological disorders (such as lupus, polymyositis, vasculitis,

and others), or any other condition for which you would see a

rheumatologist or joint specialist. See the patient resources pages for

how you can help improve the treatment and outcomes of rheumatic

diseases. "

What it involves if you join is the filling out of a quite long

questionnaire about your rheumatic disease, the medications you take,

how it affects you, etc. You can fill out the questionnaire online,

which makes it a lot easier. You fill out a new one every six months,

but it's just a matter of editing the last one you did if you do it

online. And you don't have to fill it all out at one time; you can quit

and come back another day.

I like to do it because it enables me to participate in research into

rheumatic diseases.

If you'd like to participate, here is the URL:
