Guest guest
Hi. Itoo have had strange numbness in my hands and am also taking Plaquenil - it feels like when your foot goes to sleep. I have not discussed it with my doctor because I feel I have enough problems without throwing something else in there-LOL! Suzy -- [ ] Plaquenil & Neurothapy? Hi everyone, Has anyone experience loss of sensation in their hands and feet? And was it found to be due to the Plaquenil? This has been going on for about 8 months now. I believe it may have started after I began taking plaquenil---not really sure, but it's about right. My Rheumy and reg. dr. are looking into if that is a possibility. Just wanted to get some insight from all of you. Thanks, Tammy in Wisconsin

Guest guest
Hi, I'm Beth. I have had RA (diangosed) since late August. I was placed on Plaquenil and Prednisone. I experienced numbing hands and feet along with cramping hands and feet prior to going on the plaguenil. I assummed that the numbness was due to the RA itself. I still experience these sensations while on the plaquenil; but the treatment has improved the sensatins. I mostly have difficutly while asleep with my arms and hands going to sleep almost every night. I don't think its the Plaquenil. Suzy I was having those sensations for several months before I was diagnosed with RA. I wasn't taking Plaquenil. I took it for only a week and stopped it due to an allergy to it. I'm learning that those symptoms are likely due to the RA itself. Abby

Guest guest
Numbness in your hands can also be a sign of carpal tunnel or cervical spine problems-worth checking out in case it is the latter. Cary
