Guest guest
Hi Dix, Just want you to know keeping you, and your family in my prayers. Take care, and big hugs Tawny > Well, the test wasn't quite what we had hoped for, but we are still optimistic. > They had told us it would be no longer than 1 hour. After 2 hours went by, I was a little concerned. After 2½ hours, I started worrying. About 40 minutes later, Dan came out and told me that they found a small tumor, or polyp, and also some suspicious tissue. They removed both, and sent them to be biopsied. We will hear the biopsy results in about 5 days, which could mean Friday, or it could be next Monday. > We're encourage by the fact that if it is malignant, that it was caught very early. And there's a chance that it isn't. Plus, if it is, colon cancer is a very treatable type of cancer. The only bad thing would mean that it's the 2nd time Dan's gotten cancer. > But something very unusual happened on the way home. We stopped at an Oriental restaurant for lunch. My fortune cookie say " You will have pleasant news. " Dan and I just gave each other a meaningful look. Then Dan opened his. It said " Problems dealt with early rarely turn out to be problems at all. " > We couldn't believe it! > God sending messages of hope through fortune cookies is not something we're used to - but who knows? It did help us both be more optimistic. > Yet I know we'll both be waiting anxiously for the results. Again, prayers would be most welcome. > I had called my mother, who said " Oh, it's no big deal. You're always making more out of things than necessary. " I don't know why I bother. > I promised the kids I'd call them, so have to get started on that. I wanted to let you know what happened, and thank you all for your thoughtfulness and prayers. They are so very much appreciated. > Love n hugs, > Dix > > > >
