Hi group,

I know I don't post much, as sometimes I feel that I am so odd with

my weird disease (Dercum's, for those who don't know me) but I read

all the posts, pray for eveyrone, and just try to keep going like all

of us do.

Got some good news today, though. My doctor thought I might have an

aortic aneurysm due to the large number of Dercum's tumors (lipomas)

in my chest and abdomen, but the CT scan I had last week showed no

aneurysm, just the tumors. All my bloodwork is good, weight staying

level, blood pressure very low (108/70) and even though I'm often in

a lot of pain, nothing I can't handle. Just the good news this

morning gave me a boost of energy, and my husband and I worked at

church for a couple of hours. We are cleaning and reorganizing the

Sunday school rooms, and we had a good time.

I'm scheduled to see a rheumy soon (whenever she calls with the

appointment) as it is possible that Remicade and MTX may help shrink

the tumors. One of our Dercum group members who also has RA and

Ankylosing Spondylitis has noticed a significant change in her tumors

and no new ones growing, so I may be asking you guys for information

if it seems the rheumy will allow me to try this. No one who has

only Dercum's has tried this, so I would be a guinea pig (once again)

to see how it goes. I'm willing!

I wish a very wonderful Thanksgiving to all--Be grateful for the joy

of pure being.

Peace,

Judi
