Guest guest
Hi Tawny. So you feel better just stopping a low dose of Pred rather than tapering down mg by mg? I'm taking 5mg now, and I want to talk to my doctor next week about stopping it. I've seen some people who have cut down an mg at a time, even from such a low dose, so I don't know which is the better way to go. > > So I expected a miracle...ha ha...I have no insurance so I used > alot > > of my money that I really couldn't spare and went to my old rheumy - > > > he knows that I will have insurance in a couple of months so we are > > doing a " band-aid " process until then. Guest guest
, if you've been on prednisone daily for any significant amount of time, usually tapering off is in order as opposed to quitting cold turkey. I'm glad you're going to discuss discontinuing your prednisone with your physician since stopping prednisone abruptly can be very dangerous. It can also cause you to flare. I'll tell you where to go! Guest guest
, Please contact your doctor, and find out what his advice for you would be. I was taking 5mg daily, and then started going down every other day, and then eventually went off it. I just didn't like how it made me feel. I was very moody, agitated always, headaches, just not for me. Some people do great on it, were all different, and what is best for me, might not be for you. So, please contact your doc, and let us know. hugs, Tawny > > > So I expected a miracle...ha ha...I have no insurance so I used > > alot > > > of my money that I really couldn't spare and went to my old > rheumy - > > > > > he knows that I will have insurance in a couple of months so we > are > > > doing a " band-aid " process until then.
