Guest guest
Judi, I started swimming last week. The pool temp was just perfect, and I had a wonderful, relaxing time. Then I went again this week, and the temp was 2° colder - and what a difference that made! I wasn't enjoying it at all. They have a water aerobics class at 9 am, so I'm going to try to get over there by 8:30 tomorrow to get some laps in, then stay for at least part of the aerobics to see how I like it, as well as how my body likes it! I'm glad you found something you enjoy that also helps. Dix [ ] Re: Judi--AS Thanks, Dix! He started me on the PT for my back right away. I have to do an easy course of it since too much exercise sends me into a Dercum flare, but the gentle exercise does feel good. I have a set of stretches to do at home every day now, and I do mine while Ron does his. The cat just sits and watches us like a tennis match. (sometimes we break for a quick smooch) Today I get to go back to aquatherapy--I've missed it as the instructor cancelled classes for nearly 3 weeks--she had eye surgery, then she took a vacation, then something else. I complained that they need to have a backup for her but I don't think they're listening. Anyway, that warm water is going to feel good--they may have to drag me kicking and screaming out of the pool! I imagine the Topamax probably serves to relax my nerves, and I'm on 300 mg a day now. Talk about sticker shock--when I picked up the prescription Friday: $349! Well, maybe it relaxes my nerves... Peace, Judi
