I started swimming last week. The pool temp was just perfect, and I had a

wonderful, relaxing time.

Then I went again this week, and the temp was 2° colder - and what a

difference that made! I wasn't enjoying it at all. They have a water aerobics

class at 9 am, so I'm going to try to get over there by 8:30 tomorrow to get

some laps in, then stay for at least part of the aerobics to see how I like it,

as well as how my body likes it!

I'm glad you found something you enjoy that also helps.

Thanks, Dix!

He started me on the PT for my back right away. I have to do an easy

course of it since too much exercise sends me into a Dercum flare,

but the gentle exercise does feel good. I have a set of stretches to

do at home every day now, and I do mine while Ron does his. The cat

just sits and watches us like a tennis match. (sometimes we break for

a quick smooch)

Today I get to go back to aquatherapy--I've missed it as the

instructor cancelled classes for nearly 3 weeks--she had eye surgery,

then she took a vacation, then something else. I complained that

they need to have a backup for her but I don't think they're

listening. Anyway, that warm water is going to feel good--they may

have to drag me kicking and screaming out of the pool!

I imagine the Topamax probably serves to relax my nerves, and I'm on

300 mg a day now. Talk about sticker shock--when I picked up the

prescription Friday: $349! Well, maybe it relaxes my nerves...
