Guest guest
Hi everyone, I've been going the yeast route (no sugar, low simple carbs, Diflucan, acidolphilus,etc.). I was doing 95-100% better until 2 days ago. I have gone a really long time without eating tomatoes (this is the confession part). They had those vine-ripe tomatoes on sale and I didn't resist. I had one tomato 4 days ago and another the next day. The day after that I could feel the ulcerations starting in the back of my mouth. My stomach felt a little acid, but I did not want to take antacids and mess up my system, so I took L-Lysine for the past few days, and I've had lots of water to drink. And as my acid symptoms flared, so did my V symptoms. The burning began and also the spasming that I can't identify as bladder or vaginal. This has been a pattern with me since the beginning of my V. In the past my stomach would get acidic or I would get heartburn. I was on Prilosec and antacids, and I would notice my V symptoms flare. I won't do Prilosec or antacids now, and after L-Lysine and lots of water, my stomach is feeling much better. I wish I could say the same for the burning down there. This time I filled my squirty bottle (that I use after urination) with water and about a tablespoon of baking soda to see if it would help the burning down there. This isn't something I read to do anywhere, I just made it up on my own. I also tried the idea of a little Vicks mixed with some Vaseline. I tried to keep it on the more external areas. This also seemed to help a little, but the burning is still there. It burns mostly from the bottom of my vagina to the rectal area and to my legs (I wouldn't want to spare you too many details). There is also the possibility that I could be getting a bacterial infection. As I felt my body going into this acid off-balance thing, I started having a slight discharge and a slight change in smell. I'm not rushing off to the doctor - I'm going to wait and see if I can get things back in balance on my own. Does anyone have self-help ideas for bacterial infections? Even though I don't think I have one, I think my body is thinking about it . Any ideas? Take care everyone, McConkey
