Guest guest
Hi Friends...I'm having lots of trouble with my tailbone and my wrists. If I am seated for awhile, when I move or get up there is searing pain in my tailbone that takes my breath away. It goes away in a few minutes. It is so painful. My wrists are swollen at the outer side including the bone that is prominent there. I've had this with my wrists before. My fingers and hands otherwise are pretty good. I'm still on weekly inj. of Humira and Mtx. I see my rheumy in about 9 days, but wondeinng if anyone had any thoughts. The tailbone pain can bring tears to my eyes...I was out with a friend for dinner last night, and when I got up from the seat, oh goodness, it was awful. Much love... Guest guest
Tess, The tailbone pain was the first thing I noticed, even before my hips and everything else started hurting. I had to quit riding my bike because I couldn't find a tractor seat (LOL!) Maybe it's because you've lost so much weight, you don't have any padding? Guest guest
Tess, I sympathize with your tail bone pain. I had a bout with it that started for no apparent reason, but went away on it¹s own. I hope yours does to. Here is an interesting site: http://www.coccyx.org/whatisit/index.htm Hope you feel better soon. a > Hi Friends...I'm having lots of trouble with my tailbone and my wrists. > If I am seated for awhile, when I move or get up there is searing pain > in my tailbone that takes my breath away. Guest guest
Tess I didn't see this message. Sorry. I just thought you were having problems with the muscles. I have the same problem with the tail bone. I hear ya on the pain. Ouch doesn't come close to how bad it can hurt. I use the Thermal packs and a cushion with a hole in the back of it. That cushion has been a life saver for me. I have also found the a lumbar pillow helps by taking the pressure off the tail bone while sitting. The lumbar pillow can be tricky. I found most of them to be too big or too small and they didn't help at all. You will want to test several out. I have a small pillow that I use a lot when I am out. One thing that I am in the process of doing is putting new seats on my kitchen chairs. One will have a hole in the back just for me. Right now I haven't decided whether to cut the hole out of the cushion for the seat (so all the chairs will look the same) or just put one of the ready made butt cushions in. I really want all the chairs to look alike, but at the same time I want comfort. I am leaning towards comfort and the heck with what the chairs look like. :-) I have been finding that through the years I have been getting to the point of I don't care what it looks like, I want comfort. LOL in Ct. -----Original Message----- From: Grammi_Love@... [mailto:Grammi_Love@...] Hi Friends...I'm having lots of trouble with my tailbone and my wrists.
