Guest guest
Hi : Yes, that is a normal dose for Plaquenil. I was started on 400 mg. per day (200mg morning and night), and it began to help in about 6 weeks. Of course, I was also put on Pred to help with the pain and inflammation until that time, and I was taking Motrin too. Are you able to take Motrin or any other anti-inflammatory? I was able to do very well with only Plaquenil and Motrin for the first two years but about that time the RA had continued to progress and it's effectiveness began to fade. Hopefully it will be helping you soon.
