Guest guest
As Dixie and I were discussing earlier here's some info on gluten free sites to help anyone who's trying to follow this diet. There seems to be a distinct link between wheat gluten allergies and the rheumatology/thyroid auto immune disorders. Also, there's a product out in the health food stores called Colostrum that helps with this. It balances out the immune system without interfering with the meds you're on. I urge you guys to check into it. Anyway, the following info comes from the Gluten Free Kitchen book byt Roben Ryberg. These are some of the links in the back that you can check on on the net. I hope this helps someone. www.celiac.com www.foodallergy.org www.allergy.co.uk www.niddk.nih.gov/health/digest/pubs/celiac/index.htm www.glutenfreeinfo.com www.ozemail.com.au/~coeliac/gluten-free_recipes.html www.forums.delphi.com/celiac/start I'm not sure they all work but most of them do. In addition I have info on purchasing gluten free products (where to get them) if anyone needs them. Also, if you're a junk food junkie like me, be very careful about where and what you eat. I know that some of the fast food places have gluten free menus on line (Mcs and Jack in the Box do) but other places like KFC is very misleading about what's in their products and I had a run in with them about it this week. If you're not sure, call their home offices and check. I'm getting gluten free menus this week from Taco Bell and Arby's. I'll try to send more info as I get it.
