Guest guest
Marilyn I think that is just awful that your in-laws force fed this child probably causing her to have pneumonia. If you end up in the hospital can you ask them if the discharge instructions can possibly say that it was possibly caused by aspiration and that she should not be fed foods that she can safely swallow such as solids? If not, can 's pcp write such a note. If you don't have an apology and a promise from your in laws that it won't happen again, I would tell them you cannot possibly leave her alone with them as it would be very unsafe. I know how hard it is needing respite, unfortunately it's another burden we must bear. Not only do we need a break, but we can't get anyone qualified to leave our kids with safely. Have a happy new year to one and all!!! Jeanne P.S. Casey and others--your stories on senseless remarks are blowing me away. I thought I had taken the cake with the remarks I'd heard. BTW, how about replying (I forget who's post this was) Are you really that.........(pause) INSENSITVE?!
