Yup. My spell-checker 'helped' me a little too much there.

I can't spell for beans so I use the spell checker to try to avoid

embarrassment. Oh well...

OFFICE MEMO RE> laser surgery & Date: 6/28/99

Nicola and All,

Just to put in my 2 cents with HPV, I had an abnormal PAP, was diagnosed with

HPV and had freezing about 9 years ago - have had a lot of problems since but

can't attribute it completely to the freezing (also had a serious long course of

antiobios then too). Years later a doctor told me it may not have been HPV at

all. The original doctor actually told me it was because " you yoing people

sleep with everyone now and it's epidemic " . It was a terrible time, very

confusing, and ever since has been upsetting to think I had an STD because I was

always very careful and didn't sleep around AT ALL.

I can see why many of us would have this in common, simply because of the trauma

from the treatment causing major vaginal upset for years.

Lainey and others treated for HPV,

Did you have laser treatment? Since I had it all over, I was lasered

everywhere, but it's only my vestibular glands that are inflamed. My

dr. said that it would make sense for that to be the cause b/c my vulva

has fewer folds than normal, probably removed in the surgery, which I

guess would make the vulva more open to irritation. I'm going back on

the Premarin and cortisone combo which helped me before; I went off

about a year ago b/c I didn't think I needed it anymore (reached a

plateau), but I think I need to keep it up.

I'm curious to know who had laser treatment and then got VV. Also, for

those of you on estrogen, did you reach a plateau and then eventually

start to get better again? Did you go off the estrogen and get worse?
