Maybe I should just get on thyroid medication to stop > hair loss event though I don't have a thyroid problem...No > seriously..do you think that would work? hmmmmmm... > Kathi (who's just another name) > Kathi, Years ago I went to a diet doctor (retired normal doctor making money)...he always automatically prescribed low doses of thyoid along with phentenmine. Natch, I lost all my weight in a short time...BUT my hair started falling out...if I had one drink I'dbe drunk....really weird. When I went to my family docotr about someth8ing different he asked If I was taking anything...so I told him..He freaked out...saying I would lose my bone mass among other things if I contiued to use thyoid when I didn't need it...also by having the extra, my own thyoid was shutting down. So I stopped it and well....that turned out to be my " fat year " it took an entire year for my own thyoid to start up again and work....also after about 9 months the hair stopped falling. And was my husband ever surprised (I didn't tell him until after the fact) that I wasn't a " drunk " and could handle a few drinks like a normal person...he was beginning to worry! Do not mess with stuff you don't need! Pt (who now has all her hair back to normal and BFL is taking care of the body...)

Guest guest
Judi: This is a great idea. Thanks. [ ] AnneMarie Hi AnneMarie, Welcome to the group! I'm partly Irish, partly Norwegian, plus a whole bunch of other stuff mixed in, married to a Danish American, living in southern Indiana. My grandparents lived in Japan for many years, and I have lots of pictures and would love to visit Japan some day as I think it is a beautiful country and culture. I visited Ireland about 30 years ago before we were married and had a wonderful time, even tried poteen, though that's an experience I don't care to try again, thank you! Have you tried a rice bag (or sock) for your hands and wrists? You could simply put some plain white uncooked rice into a sock and tie it securely, then microwave it for about a minute to a minute and a half (don't make the mistake some people have and wet it!) and hold it on your hands/wrists. I made a mitt out of some fabric and actually slip in onto my hand so that it covers my whole hand clear over the wrist and it feels soooo good. Best of luck in your baby quest. Our daughter has a 4-year old son and 18-month old triplets (2 boys and a girl)--the delights of our life! Judi
