Hi All

There are some patients like myself, who after having RA for 20 yrs, who cannot

take the RA drugs or after trying them, they do not work. In fact after using

MTX on a number of occasions (and my hair did thin!)the last time I developed a

serious side effect that put me in critical care, and unfortunately it still

occurs now even on other meds and never again can I try MTX..

The Prosorba Column is the next step. It is a 12 week treatment involving 2 hrs

a week, where they insert a line in each arm. The blood is removed and

" cleansed " of all the bad RA antibodies and returned to me. Hopefully

this will give me once again a fighting chance to feel human again.....

Thanks for all of your well wishes. I had sincerely hoped someone had tried this

before. I am being treated at Hershey Medical Center in PA and they have had

good success. So wish me luck

Joanne
