Hi. I'm 36 yrs old, and am having a hysterectomy(uterus, ovaries, and

most likely cervix)in January. Can anyone tell me what to expect

from my RA? I've been told that the HRT can cause flare-ups until

they get it regulated. Any advice is welcome.

-Thanks, Twila

Hi Twila ... not sure about the flares. I can only tell you that I began to

get ill and start the autoimmune saga just after my full blown hysterectomy

in 2001. I have wondered about the connection.

I take .5 mg Estradial every other day -- a very, very low dose of estrogen.

it keeps the night sweats and mood swings at bay, and it also is enough to

help with bone strength. It's working for me.

GOOD LUCK -- let us know how you are!

Love and Prayers,

Beth
