Guest guest
Kat, What has said is very true. Not all people react the same way to any given medication. My mother is bi-polar and a doc had her on Prozac which isn't a good idea so she began to take medications that were better suited. I also was prescribed Prozac and took it for two years until things got worse; crying all the time with deep depression. I was informed that it had a two year burn-out that a lot of patients experience (they don't tell us that). I stopped taking it (tappering off under my docs care) and those symptoms went away. The doc put me on Welbruitron which worked much better. It is so hard sometimes when we are so deep in depression to realize what is going on. I have thought about suicide (how nice it would be not to suffer) but never actually considered doing it. My mother used to say that she wanted to drive off the bridge and I never understood until I became depressed myself. Please let your doc know how you feel so he will try a different medication to help you. You will be in my thoughts and prayers.
