Guest guest
Jennie I love arthritis tyelenol! It is my new friend! I found it in February - only by mistake. I got hit on the head by my malfunctioning garage door and got a concussion. The doctor told me to take it because it lasts longer than other tyelenol. It is good stuff. Sounds like your job was like mine. I lug (or did - now I refuse) in and out. I drive 30,000 miles a year on my car from customer to customer. I am going to try to hang in there - I hear disability is near impossible to get but September is coming. I am functional but have already retrained myself to do another job (this one) because I couldn't do executive support anymore (my hands). Now what is left? So, I hope that this new rheumy, through Loma University - very recommended may be able to help me through this. Meanwhile, I will work on my degree and finish school. This way I can do a job that I use my brain...I still have three kids at home and no way to support them...sooooooo.... How do you make it with cutting your hours? Did you find a way to do something else? > > > > So I expected a miracle...ha ha...I have no insurance so I > used > > > alot > > > > of my money that I really couldn't spare and went to my old > > rheumy - > > > > > > > he knows that I will have insurance in a couple of months so > we > > are > > > > doing a " band-aid " process until then. Guest guest
I never really planned to stay in public accounting or as an auditor forever. It was easy to go out and find a job as an accountant, or financial analyst as I now am. I was lucky that I could do that. When I was job hunting I was very outspoken that I wanted to work in a place where everyone left at 5pm, partially because of the RA and also because I have to get my daughter from preschool before 6pm. I took a slight pay cut but once I start getting bonuses in a few months it will work out to be a pay increase. I am confident the rheumy can help you once you have insurance. All I wanted when I got RA was to get on one of the biological drugs. It has made an incredible difference for me. I was on MTX before that, and it really helped a lot too. Guest guest
Hi Jennie - I just got my sed rate back and my rheumy decided (the temp one) that we couldn't wait anymore. He started MTX. Eww.....combined with the heat and working in that all day - it is so hot here in CA and I work all day in that. Is it normal to feel so sick to your stomach? Holy cow--- I didn't expect this and usually I am a trooper but had to come home today from work. Guest guest
How much did he start you on? Did you take it with food? I take 17.5 mgs on Saturday mornings. I think the morning is important and with food is too. I started on a smaller dose though, and worked up to that. I can't remember if I felt sick. Tell your doc about the reaction, but I'll bet you'll feel better tomorrow. I'll be thinking of you Jennie > > > > > > > So I expected a miracle...ha ha...I have no insurance so > I > > > > used > > > > > > alot > > > > > > > of my money that I really couldn't spare and went to my > old > > > > > rheumy - > > > > > > > > > > > > > he knows that I will have insurance in a couple of > months > > so > > > > we > > > > > are > > > > > > > doing a " band-aid " process until then.
