Guest guest
I have been trying to learn all I can about RA since i got diagnosed with it. I was wondering if anyone can tell me what causes it Is it a gene or what and why some people get it and some don't I seem to have good days and bad days is that normal. I start out very stiff in the morning as the day goes i feel better but by evening I am usually in sever pain. Don't know if I am over doing it or what Thanks for any information anyone has Thanks Angie
Guest guest
Angie, nobody knows the precise cause of RA. There are many theories, but it is still a big unknown. It's likely that there are several causes or triggers. Genetic predisposition is a key factor, but that is still being investigated - and probably several genes are involved. Many people with RA describe ups and downs from day to day. Morning stiffness is highly characteristic of the disease, too. Your current physician has you on a good combination of meds. Did the increase in prednisone help at all? I'll tell you where to go! Mayo Clinic in Rochester http://www.mayoclinic.org/rochester s Hopkins Medicine http://www.hopkinsmedicine.org [ ] what causes RA > I have been trying to learn all I can about RA since i got > diagnosed with it.
