Guest guest
Hi everyone! I've been wondering - 's appetite has been decreasing lately and he seems to have lost taste for things he used to like. (I know his liver and spleen are enlarged and this crowds his stomach) But I wonder if anyone has noticed their tastes changing. I know with some illnesses that can be the case - just curious. Anyone? Fortunately, he's not losing weight - don't really understand that, but thankful for it! Guest guest
Hi group, I have also noticed like the other Dianne that I have a decreased appetite for years now but especially in the last year I find that some things I used to like I no longer do like. Because I am on a low salt diet due to edema and ascites some of the things I do like I can no longer have like ham sandwichs which I love. And like Dianne sometimes at supper I can't think of anything I want to eat that I can eat. I do love eggs though so I can always have poached egg on whole wheat toast or scrambled egg with tomato or salad and that gives me some protein and vegetables so that is still a good supper even if I am not eating meat, potatoes and vegetables and I do better without much meat anyway since my brain seems to work better without meat very often. Last year I went from 122 pounds to 109 pounds from May 10 to July 6th and I was thin at 122. Right now I weigh around 111 to 112 and that includes at least 2 or sometimes 3 or more pounds of fluid. I thought it was just me who found that she didn't like some things she used to like or that some things taste different now.
