Hello to You! My husband was raised in Kankakee and his band Freefall played the

state fair many

times. Where are you? When we were up there several years ago to see his mom in

Watseka, it was

the 4th of July and I have never seen such beautiful fireworks. It gets really

dark there! In

Dallas, it is never fully dark and the fireworks just aren't as pretty. P.S.

There sure is a lot

of corn there. Iris

I am actually way north just south of Lake Geneva, Wis---I grew up in Palatine,

been in all of the NW suburbs of chicago. I will drive up to 2 hours and I LOVE

fireworks...so now that I no longer work, I am overdosing my kids on all the

parades, fireworks, concerts and fairs. LOL.Whats nice is these events are

scattered all thru the summer. There is always something eveyr single weekend.
