Guest guest
Methotrexate gave me a low white blood cell count, so my rheumy switched me to Arava. That worked very well for the pain and inflammation, but my white blood cell count continued its downward spiral. Next came Enbrel. I've been on it for about a year and a half, but my white blood cell count is still low. It came up a tiny bit, but is still below normal. I don't think the Enbrel affects it one way or the other. Fortunately, I don't get infections often in spite of the low WBC count, so I try not to worry about it. Guest guest
Beth, My RBC's run low, not the white- I am sure that one of our medical minded sisters will be knowledgeable on this. I have learned more from the ladies on this site, than my doctor! Do you feel tired all the time? I did when I was on MTX and Plaq- which they d'ced due to low RBC and elevated LFT's. Hoping you have a pain-free holiday- take a little time out for yourself. Know it's hard to do this time of year, but we really need it.
