I don't know if it has helped the afib, as mine is just two months from the initial diagnosis. On the positive side, I have not had a major afib attack since Nov 8th, shortly after I started the accupuncture. On the negative side, I am having a number(10?) of short (2-3 second) events - mostly tachycardia, missed beats, some of them afib each week. I think it is worthwhile just for the relaxation factor for me, as stress is my current main trigger. I can say that it has helped my acid reflux disease a lot - I can tell that from the reduction in symptoms just during the course of a treatment. I have had several visits, and only once had a tiny bruise about 1/8 to 1/4 inch in diameter at one needle site. It faded away very quickly. It is totally gone now, and the appointment was last week.
