" Almost " Top Secret Recipe Version

of

WENDY’S CHILI

2 lbs ground beef

1 29 oz can tomato sauce

1 29 oz can kidney beans (with liquid)

1 29 oz can pinto beans (with liquid)

1 cup diced medium onion

1/4 cup (1 stalk) celery

3 medium tomatoes (chopped)

2 tsp cumin powder

3 tbsp chili powder

1 ½ tsp black pepper

2 tsp salt

2 cups water

Brown ground beef in pan over medium heat and drain fat.

Crumble with beef into pea sized pieces with fork.

Combine the beef plus all remaining ingredients in large pot and bring to a

simmer over low heat.

Cook with stirring every 15 minutes for 2 to 3 hours.

Makes around 12 servings.

Options:

For spicier chili...add ½ tsp more black pepper.

For even spicier chili...add 1 tsp black pepper and tbsp cayenne pepper.

For the ones with a cast iron stomach...add 5 or 6 sliced jalapeno peppers to

the pot.

Can be frozen for several months.
