Guest guest
Jane, sweet heart, I am so sorry for the hassles you are going thru now, but I may have an answer for it... A lot of people around here go camping(I live in the western mountains of N.C.), and one of the things that most of us take with us is a " tent heater " ...it's very small, compact, and throws out a lot of b.t.u.'s...If there is a camping supply anywhere near where you live, call them up, and ask if they carry one...if you cannot find one in your area, then post me, and I will leave you my 'phone # on this site for you, and once we connect, so to speak, I will go down to our local camping centre, buy one, and send it to you. Another thing you can do is find the nearest truck stop...theu ALWAYS have heaters for truckers in the winter...they also carry what's called a " bunk warmer " .It's a kind of blanket that you can lay across your front seat, plug into the lighter socket, and once you sit down, just wrap it over your shoulders...I garantee you WILL be warm!As a 20 yeucker, I've always had to worry about how to keep warm in some of the places I have been! Let me knowif any of these suggestions work out for you...if they don't, as I said, I will purchase one for you and send it on it's way(the tent heater)...one word of warning, tho...you must set it up on the passenger floorboard, and crack the window an inch or so...that way, you won't have to worry about loss of o2.....good luck, and God love you...keep me posted! love, ken-- JANE <janeatregis@...> wrote: > > > hey yall. i am recovering (i hope) from the Flare > from Hell & the > heater has gone out in my car and it's going to be > in the 20's this > week.
