This is terrible - I had a feeling something else was happening. I feel

doubly bad because I think I have made a bit of a breakthrough myself

this week after my last bad spot, so I'm really " up " at present - so to

hear of someone having a bad time just takes me back to all those nights

I've sat on the edge of the bed wondering " why me? " and feeling pretty

desperate. The various groups have always been a help in those

situations.

I do hope gets well as soon as possible. I have always valued his

contributions.

Best of health to all

Good morning. As explained, is under a great deal of stress due

to circumstances beyond his control. I agree that compassion and

forgiveness is the way to go. I welcome back to the support group

with open arms. Raichel

Hi, folks! I too sorely miss 's contributions to this forum, but

I believe it would be too bad if our motivation for " inviting him

back " was strictly that we recognize the worth of his contributions.

If there is any redeeming quality whatever from this common affliction

we share, it should be the engendering of a sense of compassion and

identification with another sufferer. Do we not all wish secretly that

there were in the world more cardiologists afflicted with AF? How

tempting it is to offer such a prayer!

My response to this issue, is made in the context of having

experienced an episode of bitter anger and rebellion as an AF event

seriously complicated our lives yesterday. It held up a mirror before

me, and what I saw was not pleasant. My hat goes off to partners of AF

sufferers. They might well be the real heroes in this matter.

I don't know what the problem was with , must have missed that e-mail.

I do wish him well and hope he will be feeling better soon. This AFIB life

is not an easy one for any of us. I would be interested in knowing what the

wrong medication is that took. One others might take ?

My Best to All, Phyllis

To add to ' advise, be careful of time release capsules and the

ordinary pill. I had been taken Verapamil and I had a time release

prescription and an ordinary pill subscription. When I ran out of the time

release, I took two of the ordinary pill which would be the equivalent of

one dose of the time release prescription. Talk about my stupidity - this

dose hit me like a lead pipe and once again - " we go - we go - off the

Emergency Room we go " !

The lesson here - be aware of the dosage, as well as whether or not its

" time released " !

Hi Phyllis,

I'm not sure the name of the drug is important but there is a lesson for us all.

He was taking a drug last year that he had a bad reaction to so he rightly came

off it. Unfortunately he neglected to discard the drugs (I take mine back to my

pharmacist who is happy to safely dispose them). By mistake he took the old drug

which was in a similar bottle to his current meds. (so the fact the drugs were

one and a half years old may have made matters worse.)

So I suppose the message is to double check the labels on your medications (and

triple check your new supplies for both drug and dosage) and if you have any

out of date meds or meds you no longer take please dispose of them safely.

all the best.

Dear ,

I am so sorry to hear of your travails. I have been worried about you

and wanted to send you a message, but assumed you were not accessing the

site anymore. I'm very glad invited you to rejoin the group, and

though I'm very sorry there was a mistake with your medication and a bad

reaction, I'm relieved that there was a physical and innocent cause for

your emotional state.

I am very grateful to you for your generosity and kindness in sharing

with us so often and at such length your considerable medical knowledge,

enthusiasm, and creative thoughts. My prayers and thoughts are with you.

Blessings, Sieber [, thank you very much, and please forward

this to .}
