Guest guest
Me, me, me! I had a horrible problem with my right jaw joint (no idea what the joint is called - but the part that connects your jaw to your head - important for talking and eating). It was always on the right and it would come and go. Sometimes I would have to get soup for lunch instead of a sandwich because chewing was a problem. Even if it was feeling okay, I would avoid gum because that would cause it to flare up. It was the joint that was most susceptible to stress since I developed RA. If I was at work, at my previously very stressful job, and any sort of stress occurred, bam, immediately swollen jaw joint and I'd be having soup for lunch. It was horrible. I complained over several rheumy visits until my rheumy decided to inject it with cortisone. He likes to do that if I have a joint that just won't get with the program. It's been fine ever since then. Jennie --- In , " renate dorsey " <renate220@b...> wrote: > I would like to know if any of you have jaw pain from RA? About 5 hours ago my left side of my jaw started hurting and it hurts all the way into my ear. It hurts to move my mouth or swallow. I wear dentures and don't know if this is from them or the RA. I have never had this happen before. > > Thanks > Renate > >
