My friend, , that I have known over 30 years from our years at the telephone company and I exchange emails frequently. We have not actually seen each other for maybe nearly 20 of those years. The divestiture of the phone company came in 1984 and I took advantage of an early retirement having given them 22 years. had a few more years and was able to hang on just a couple (no easy task at that time) and took an regular retirement.....then it was off to Alaska for her with her dog and cat in her car where she spent several years....married a bush pilot who later contracted cancer and died...stayed awhile longer...grew to hate the continuous snow and two hour days or two hour nights and headed back to Oregon this time. We have stayed in touch by letters until the advent of emails and the both of us acquiring PC's. Now we were contemporaries...she being a year or two older but not much and we used to run around together somewhat with us both being widows. Which leads me up to these extractions from our emails....I just about rolling everywhere. Talk about " Senior Moments " and telling me that I was responsible for everything along with Senator Kerry. wrote: Hello Jan, You are not a senior citizen until you are 62 years old.
