Guest guest
It would probably be handled no differently in EMS than it would in any other business. It is not unique to our work force. Why do we think we have the market on interdepartmental relationships? They either work with diplomacy and tact or they hang themselves. Usually the latter. We are all victims of rage at some time or another and after an argument, one side will try and get back at the other. At this time, one-half of the relationship will usually spill the beans about something he or she is not supposed to be aware of or squeal on the other for some small theft or lie they told and the whole system falls apart trying to repair the damage done. But, I have been in many lines of work before EMS and they are all the same. The sad part is the some work places do not allow husband and wives to work in the same department, but yet I could be dating 4 people in my department, under my supervision and that is OK. You just have to work with it. There are no easy answers and jealousy usually prevails.
