Guest guest
I shall keep this drug in mind when the time comes again to talk about drug treatment. I don't know why my doctor did not tell me about pills. Maybe because of my stomach problems. Do you have to take them daily? I am going to keep all of this in mind for the future. So we plan to take a month and try to learn as much as we can before going back to see this doc or taking any medications. That makes sense. Just make sure your information comes from up to date, reputable sources. There's a lot of misinformation on the Web. > > I also need advice on medications. I know I do not want to take the methotrexate. What other drugs out there that are milder can I ask about? I just think the methotrexate is serious drug for such a small problem. I would prefer not to take any drugs but if I have to, I would like to start out slow and mild. Plaquenil is considered the mildest DMARD. Early treatment of RA, while it is still " a small problem " greatly increases the probability of a good outcome (prevention of joint damage). > > I also can't not take the methotrexate because my insurance will not pay for it. They also do not pay for injectablee drugs. Methotrexate comes in pill form. That's what I take. I was scared to death of it at first, but to my great surprise I have tolerated it beautifully. Not the slightest hint of nausea. And I have a terrific head of hair! S
