I have to pay for all my meds out of my pocket also. My wife is taking meds

costing more than twice my costs. MTX is very inexpensive, I get a 10 ml

vial mailed from my hospital for about $28. It's good for 10 weeks, making

it very affordable. One of my wife's prescrptions is $325 for 3 months

supply. Our income consists of my SSD and her pay from child care, usually

less than $200 per week. Her monthly meds are about $600 per, and that comes

out of our pockets, too. As I said earlier, we think we have it bad until we

see someone else that really has challenges. It helps to have an open mind

and listen to all of it, then make an informed decision.

out slow and mild.

insulin. The pharmacist said the other drugs he prescribed was foalinic

prescription cause my insurance does not pay for it.

That makes sense. Just make sure your information comes from up to

date, reputable sources. There's a lot of misinformation on the Web.

Plaquenil is considered the mildest DMARD. Early treatment of RA,

while it is still " a small problem " greatly increases the probability

of a good outcome (prevention of joint damage).

Methotrexate comes in pill form. That's what I take. I was scared to

death of it at first, but to my great surprise I have tolerated it

beautifully. Not the slightest hint of nausea. And I have a terrific

head of hair!

I was told by the pharmacist that 3 bottles of the Methotrexate is $96 and the

needles are $30. I asked about Enbrel and he laughed and said are your sitting

down, $1500 for one month. I know the Arava is $300 plus. My insurance

screamed about that one too.

Thesed drugs are very expensive! I see why people have to go without other

stuff so they can buy there drugs. Its sad.
